Why are Muslims not aloud to know every time we go to have a boy or a girl?

Yesterday I went shopping with my friend and her mother is expecting a baby. We was in the children of Adam and I was helping to look for baby clothes. And I asked''Will it be a boy or a girl? "And she told me how Muslims are not aloud to know every time you are having a girl or a boy. And I also said Muslims are not aloud to know when the baby will come I've heard this before so many people and yet I do not know why?

It is not forbidden in Islam, like many have said before. The Koran says that God gave to the brains of humans, and must use the full extent. human made technology, and should be used (In a way that no murders or greedy). Hte know the sex of an unborn child is not a sin. Nowhere in the Koran, or any story of the prophet, he could never even advertise this as a sin, because this type of technology was not active in six cities during that time. No technology is prohibited in Islam (apart from Some technologies of war … and everything that I know are specifically nuclear weapons and huge pumps in the area … because they kill innocent civilians.) From now on, this is what you do. If anyone ever says anything about Islam, ask where it says in the Qur'an. if they do not tell, do not believe until you read with your own eyes. and if you read a translated version, be sure to read that line in several different translations, as many are, intentionally and inadvertently mistranslated.
